| Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate Cares Donates Over $2 Million to Florida Charities | |
| Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate Cares, the charitable arm of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, is pleased to announce that it has raised over $2 million for non-profit charities and programs throughout Florida since its inception in 2003. In Southwest Florida, Cares donated over $8,000 to local charities in 2008. The signature event in Fort Myers for the last four years has been the Annual Cares Theater Night
In 2008, Cares donated over $250,000 to charities in communities in Central Florida, Palm Beach, Southeast Florida, Southwest Florida and Tampa Bay. Managers, sales associates and staff from Coldwell Banker offices throughout the state helped build three homes in Liberty City, Sanford and Sarasota. As part of its support of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) as the statewide initiative for 2008, Cares donated over $10,000, food items and volunteer hours to local Ronald McDonald House locations. Throughout the state, Cares members participate in fundraising events such as annual golf tournaments, community garage sales and gala events. Additional charities receiving Cares donations in 2008 included ABC Schoolhouse, Canine Companions for Independence, Crohns and Colitis Foundation, Easter Seals Florida, Girl Scouts of America, Lifepath Hospice, Meals on Wheels, Special Olympics Florida, Suncoast Alzheimer's & Gerontology Center, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Voice for Children Foundation, Wellness Community and YMCA Harmony House.
