| Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate Cares Presents $100,000 Check to Habitat for Humanity of Sarasota
First of its Kind Environmentally-Friendly Construction |

| Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate CARES, the charitable arm of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, recently presented a sponsorship check for $100,000 to Habitat for Humanity of Sarasota for its first green-technology build. "The real estate market is moving toward promoting a more energy-efficient, sustainable, healthier design in homes and featured amenities. We are very excited to be the first real estate brokerage company in Sarasota to sponsor a green home. I am so proud of our sales associates and staff for making this American dream a reality for a local family," said Sue Wolverton, Regional Senior Vice President, Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, Sarasota Bay. The local project represents Coldwell Banker's 17th Habitat for Humanity home sponsorship since 2005 and its first to be "Green Certified" in accordance with the Florida Green Building Council.
The use of new construction technologies will provide the owners with a home that is more economical in which to live, requires less maintenance work, is substantially more durable than homes built by other methods, and is environmentally sound. Energy-efficient products, such as roof-top solar water heating panels, will produce the home's hot water, which accounts for 25% of the average household's electricity use. High-efficiency air conditioning systems, and Energy Star-rated appliances and electrical fixtures use less energy and lower the homeowner's electric bills. According to Habitat for Humanity of Sarasota's Executive Director Tony Souza, "Coldwell Banker is the first local real estate company to step up and make this kind of commitment, and we could not be happier." |
