Champ began his career in the hospitality industry with Holiday Inn and Sheraton franchises. He rose through the ranks to General Manager of hotels, restaurants and entertainment complexes and then to a corporate position and was responsible for hotel domestic and international purchases and acquisitions. He received his real estate license in 1971 and his broker's license in 1982. He is a founder and current Vice President of the New Central Florida Commercial Association of REALTORSÆ.

Champ worked for Prudential Florida and Arvida Realty Services prior to their being acquired by Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT in 2003. He is an Investment Property Specialist. Champ is a Legends Society award winner with Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT, placing him in the top one quarter of one percent of the sales and leasing associates in the United States. In his new role, Champ will be responsible for directing the training and recruiting efforts for one of Central Florida's leading commercial real estate brokerage companies.
