| Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate headquartered in Sarasota, Florida announced today that its parent company, NRT Incorporated, was ranked as the No. 1 residential real estate brokerage firm in the United States according to industry publication, RISMedia's 2007 Power Broker Report, made available online at www.rismedia.com on April 10, and appearing in its newly released April 2007 issue of RIS Media's Real Estate magazine. This is the tenth consecutive year in which NRT earned the top spot nationwide for both closed sales volume and closed transaction sides[1] NRT recorded more than $193 billion in closed sales volume and 392,452 transaction sides in 2006. In fact, NRT's closed sales volume was greater than the combined total of the next 17 companies ranked in the publication. NRT also had more closed transaction sides than the next five companies combined in the magazine's rankings
Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, Florida's largest residential real estate brokerage company, accounted for over $14.7 billion in closed sales volume and 35,699 closed transaction sides in 2006. If RIS Media separately ranked NRT's local markets, Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate (Florida) would have placed 4th among all residential real estate brokerage companies in Real Estate's 2007 Power Broker list in both closed sales volume and transaction sides. A transaction side is defined as either the listing or the selling portion of the residential sales transaction. (e.g., If a company listed and sold a home, it is credited with two closed transaction sides.)
